When seated the risk of skin breakdown on the buttocks is reduced if the patient’s microclimate is controlled and pressure is distributed. The Air-Layer cushion features a block of visco-elastic foam that conforms to the buttocks redistributing pressure and an ‘Air-Layer’ to reduce heat transfer. The cover is waterproof, multi-stretch and vapour permeable with welded seams to reduce the risk of fluid ingress.
