Glide & Slide Sheets

The MIP Slide Sheet Glove / Dressing Sleeve is made from the same material as our popular slide sheets and is suitable in a number of applications:.

• Ideal to support small turning and positioning tasks
• To support skin smoothing when repositioning on profiling beds
• Clothes dressing aid (use on arms or legs to ease putting on clothes)
• Sling fitting can be made easier

Used primarily with patient specific slide sheets with the facility to record resident/patients name, date and ward. Attach the the drawstring bag to the patients bed so the slide sheet is always available when required.

The Cromptons Healthcare Poly-glide Slide Sheet is a Patient Specific Slide Sheet. It is produced in tough PP with a low friction PU coating to provide easy patient repositioning or transfer. 

The Poly-glide is a universal sheet suited to all healthcare departments and could be included within an infection control strategy to assist in combating MRSA and other infectious bacteria, helping to create a more hygienic and safer environment for patients.

The Poly-glide Flat Slide Sheets can be used as a pair back-to-back or as a single sheet folded in half to provide multi-directional movement for seated or supine patients and avoid the need for manual patient lifting. The Poly-glide carton contains 100 slide sheets and acts as a neat convenient dispenser. Simply open the box and the Poly-glide slides are ready to be dispensed.

Cromptons Healthcare by MIP Slide Sheets are made from Transtex, a specially developed fabric that is silicone coated on both sides to provide a slick, low friction finish for easy patient movement and turning.

Reusable Slide Sheets are blue in colour. The durable fabric is suitable for hospital laundering using standard hospital laundry guidelines HSG(95)18.

Slide sheets are not intended for lifting, and all patient manoeuvres should be accomplished without lifting.

Tubular Slide Sheets are formed by sewing the fabric into a continuous tube with a double sewn low profile seam that reduces potential tissue viability issues whilst adding strength and durability.

A web hanging loop is provided to allow the tube to be kept with the patient at all times.
