Patient entrapment and limb injury are a serious issues in beds with exposed railings. Thorpe Mill's Bed Rail Bumpers with Net Windows for Two Rail Profiling Beds quickly and easily attach to a bed to cover up gaps in the railings, removing the chance of arms and legs getting caught.

A soft and comfortable material cover also promotes comfort and prevents bumps, scuffs and bruising in elderly patients.

The Standard-Length Profiling Bed Rail Bumpers  are designed to assist in bed rail entrapment avoidance in care settings. Specifically designed for use on healthcare beds, they feature hook&loop fasteners for secure use with both static and profiling beds.

MRSA Resistant Connected Bed Rail Bumpers (Pair) are full length bed rail protectors designed for use on profiling beds with rails that drop down.

The bumpers are connected with a mesh base that sits under the mattress. This helps secure the bumpers in place and forms a safety net to help prevent entrapment between the mattress and the bottom of the side rails/bumpers.

The split mesh base ensures these bumpers are ideal for use with profiling beds, and if required can be fitted under the base of the bed.

The Thorpe Mill Machine Washable 2-Bar Profiling Bed Rail Bumpers create a perfect profiling bed that allows for a patient to be positioned in the most comfortable way possible.

These Net Bed Rails are specifically designed to aid the changing of a patient's body position. This feature is particularly useful for patients with a disability or mobility difficulties and it can also help to prevent pressure sores.

However, due to their full-length wooden rails with gaps in between, profiling beds can sometimes become a potential risk hazard. Patients can accidentally injure themselves on the hard rail surface or even trap their limbs as they sleep.

To combat this, our two-rail bumpers are connected with a net base help to protect patients from injury or entrapment. Top and bottom pads are connected by a strong see-through, breathable net that 'concertinas' to save space when the sides are lowered.
