Evacuation Mats

The Thorpe Mill Evacuation Mat is designed to be small and compact as well as being very hard wearing. The unit in constructed of highly durable fabric with a foam pad for comfort. The principles of the unit are the same as with all our evacuation products.

The webbing runs the full length of the unit encapsulating both head and foot end pulling straps in one piece of very strong webbing. Together with the two body straps for tall and short patients. Once the patient is on the unit they can be enveloped for security by the wings on either side. Secured by the webbing and buckles and then pulled to safety by means of the head and foot pull straps.

A low-friction, slippy underside enables smooth movement across a variety of surfaces, including carpet, vinyl, and concrete, making it suitable for use in diverse healthcare environments. When not in use, the mat folds down to a highly compact size and includes loop handles for convenient wall storage.
