The Air Mattress Fire Evacuation Sheet (Red) AEVS from Thorpe Mill is a vital safety solution designed to support the rapid and safe evacuation of patients during emergencies such as fire or building evacuation.

Fitted permanently beneath an alternating air mattress, this evacuation sheet is always in place and ready for immediate use. In an emergency, it quickly transforms the entire mattress into a secure evacuation sledge, allowing caregivers to move patients efficiently without lifting.

Specifically engineered for air mattresses, the sheet features eight access outlets, ensuring that air tubing connections remain fully functional without removal or interference. Large integrated pockets with elasticated corners provide a secure fit across a wide range of mattress depths.

Designed with patient safety in mind, the evacuation sheet includes multiple securing straps to keep the individual safely in position, along with an extended foot pocket to prevent movement during transit. The durable, low-friction base allows smooth movement across floors and down stairways when operated by two caregivers.

Ideal for hospitals, care homes, and healthcare environments, this evacuation sheet is an essential addition to any emergency preparedness plan.

For hygiene and infection control, the sheet can be machine washed at temperatures up to 60°C or cleaned easily using antibacterial wipes.

The Air Mattress Evacuation Sheet is similar to the Evacuation Sheet but instead of a general anti-pressure mattress, it is designed to be used with an alternating air mattress. 

 The following features ensure the patient's safety when in use:

• Securing straps to hold the patient in place
• An elongated foot pocket to hold the user's feet in place.
• You need two people to operate the device.
• In order to safely clean your Evacuation Sheet, either machine wash at a temperature not exceeding 60°C or simply wash down with anti-bacterial wipes.

Engineered for reliability and ease of use, the sheet supports efficient evacuation by two caregivers, reducing the need for manual lifting and minimising risk to both patient and staff. Its durable construction ensures consistent performance in high-pressure situations.

Due to the critical nature of emergency evacuation equipment, it is recommended to use a separate evacuation sheet for training and drills. This helps preserve the integrity and lifespan of the primary sheet, ensuring it remains in optimal condition when needed most.
