The guard is designed with a curved edge to prevent any food from falling off the plate.

A Plate guard/plate surround is designed to stop food from falling off edges of plates when dining. An ideal aid for those who are visually impaired or have unsteady hands due to tremors, parkinsons, Arthritis etc.

It can also be used as a barrier to push food against enabling the user to scoop food onto a spoon or fork, especially useful for people who may only have use of one hand. 

Easy to use, the guard simply clips securely around the edge of the plate and is just as easy to remove.
